Theo Epstein had a parting shot of his own as he left Boston, and it was one of thanks. There's been so much focus on the negative these past few weeks that it's been easy to lose perspective on how far Red Sox culture has come over the past decade. It's sad that Theo and Tito are gone because it means one of the best era's in Red Sox history is over. But it also affords a new chapter to be written, but whoever the author may be, they have one hell of an act to follow.
Thanks Theo, you gave reason to believe, helping to redefine both faith and hope. Best of luck in killing your next curse, the Cubbies couldn't be getting anyone better.
