We're really beginning to see the type of efforts out of our starters that we expected coming into the season, and I dare say we now have one of the hottest and deepest starting rotations in the league. I'm literally confident each and every night now, no matter the starter - which is a great feeling to have. Clay Buchholz is proving that 2010 is indeed his breakout season, as he out aced Justin Verlander yesterday afternoon - not an easy task by any means. In his 8+ innings he only allowed 3 hits and never gave the Tigers the chance to gain a true rhythm. Jonathan Papelbon, who I have to admit, is not the same guy he used to be - almost ruined the great vibe in Fenway, but once again, the Sox found a way to win and pull out the 'W' - and that's a trend I hope to see continue, as we march into August.
