BK

or not.

Great article!

Crusher

My cousin who is in law school in LA went to the friday game - yesterday was a heartbreaker. I'm already looking forward to next year and I hope the Halos pull it off for Adenhart.

M@

Sure, pull it off for Adenhart, but the Angels are the only team with a chance to beat the Yankees at this point. Even if the Dodgers manage to hold off the Phillies, neither of them is going to come close to stopping that steamroller.

I'm already into figuring out who needs to go and who needs to stay for this offseason. Is that wrong of me?? ;) Great article.

Crusher

No it isn't wrong of you M@!

Setting aside the contributions of Varitek during the past several years, opposing teams were almost running at will against the Sox. Martinez won't be much help there so that's something that needs to be addressed.

Infield looks rock solid to me.

Outfield with Ellsbury and Bay looks good but not sure about Drew and his salary.

Pitching staff needs a little something though I think if Wakefield had been as effective in the second half like he was in the first, maybe the Sox would still be playing??

Erik

Derek... I am seeing your strategy here. I'm guessing you are praying for an Angels victory in the series before updating the site. How right am I? haha
I really wish we were playing the Sox instead of the Angels. And that's saying something.
Anyway... I'll be missing and DVRing the game on Saturday due to the first f two days on the "Twitter C____" Video shoot. Wait till you see this thing.
Anyway Derek and Kris - perk up. next season will come very quickly... maybe the Yankees will have 27. Maybe not. If they do... I'll gloat a bit... if they dont... well just pray the Angels take them out... cus I dont see either of the NL teams stopping this train. The WS winner will come from the AL. 2 teams left.

This was the first time I've been to a game with my Dad since the early 90's and it was just awesome, especially with everything that happened with my Mom a few weeks ago. I know she was watching the game with us and had to have been happy to see us happy.

Marathon Monday (Patriots Day) is a great tradition in Boston. The Sox always start early in the a.m. and the marathon is on it's final stage right outside of Kenmore as the game lets out. This is a photo tour of our experiance, enjoy!

This past Mothers Day I was visiting Chicago and attended a Cubs/Phillies game. This was my first time at Wrigley Field and I was embraced by my NL cousins. Chris & I represented the Red Sox and I was congratulated on the 2004 season by numerous Cubbie fans. Here you'll find 11 pics from the game.

2005 BDD Playoff Push Party

  • Bar & TV's
Boston.com and Boston Dirt Dogs had a playoff push party at Game On! in Fenway Park on September 19. The game didn't go so well as the Sox lost, however, a lot of people had a good time hanging out while getting to "meet" the trophy!

2004 World Series: Game One

  • Mounted Police
My brother Chris flew into Boston from Chicago to help me root on and pull for the Sox in the Series. We went right from Logan Airport to the Park and ended up watching the game across the street from Fenway at Bills Bar on Landsdown Street. We looked into scalping tickets but standing room only were going for $1,200 and up!This was a great and memorable day to be able to be with my brother in Boston to see the Red Sox in the World Series. This is a snap shot of two weeks of my life that provided a lot of sorrow, joy, sleep deprivation, and hangovers. Two of the best weeks of my life...
