No matter which way you slice it, it's always a sweet feelings seeing the Red Sox make it to the playoffs. This is just step one in what's now a short list of goals, but getting into the dance is half the battle, and if the Sox can make it out of the ALDS I honestly like our chances to repeat. That's looking a little farther into the future then we should now, but still, we're now one of eight. I'm hoping the Red Sox organization just gives up trying to win the division because the 1.7% chance to win doesn't seem so hot. Rest the players that need it, set-up that rotation, and lets prepare to kick some Angel ass. Go Sox!
PS - Hank Steinbrenner, you're just an embarrassing train wreck. Stop your whining and crying and just do your job. You're so not your Dad and your Dad in the same breath it's laughable.

Wow...every year I am more and more thankful that the Arod trade in 2003 never went through. Let the Yankees deal with that clown sitting at home in Oct...
Looks like some fans know where to place the blame... http://www.itsallarodsfault.com/

I guess sox fans are even happier to see the red sox clinching a post season spot and at the same time ending with the yankees hopes...
priceless...

I'm going on record here in saying that I absolutely DONT like your chances to repeat.
If you go into Anaheim and beat the Angels who have owned you, and then defeat the Rays at home(I'm sure they will win their series vs the twins or white sox) then you know what? Then you face the Cubs(Most likely)... This would be the hardest road ever, with the worst team you have had in recent years.
Obviously I am rooting against the Red Sox big time, but the opinion I just gave is from a neutral standpoint. I honestly don't think you guys have that much of a chance. If The Sox prove me wrong, I will be the first to stand up and say I am an ass.
Beckett's health doesn't help either.
PS. I took some solace in winning the final series and the season series against you guys, and also Moose getting his 20th win. Some solace huh? :(

Erik-
You may end up saying your an ass. Just an opinion.
I also am afraid of our chances in Anheim, but I do think we have a better rotation and a better bullpen. And yes I said bullpen, I don't give 2 shits about K-Rod and how he has pitched this year, let's see if he can do it in the post season. IF he can then I'll admit I'm an ass.
