For some reason I see Jacoby doing this a lot during his career... (AP Photo)
Red Sox Nation, get used to seeing your Boston Red Sox all over the place for a little bit because it looks like our boys are going to be enjoying the start to this championship off-season. The Red Sox represented at the Celtic opening game last night at the Garden, bringing the World Series trophy along with Larry Lucchino, Clay Buchholz, Jacoby Ellsbury, Tim Wakefield, Manny Delcarmen, and John Henry.

The Big three, or PGA Tour as they're being called, represented Boston to the fullest winning 103-83, and it looks like the Sox and Pats are going to have to share some of the limelight with the Celtics now, which is completely and utterly fine with me. I love the Celtics, and to see them with a championship caliber team again is most certainly a sight for sore eyes.
Speaking of championship caliber, the Boston Red Sox resigned the veteran knuckle baller Tim Wakefield along with Julian Tavarez yesterday which just gives the Red Sox that much added depth to their pitching staff. Also, the man who puts it all together, Red Sox pitching coach John Farrall, declined an offer by the Pittsburgh Pirates and is coming back with the Sox next year. All of this is great news for the Sox and further assures that our core nucleus of pitching will be coming back next year.
