Curt Schilling Gets One-Year Extension with Red Sox

Reports are still fresh on this one, but it looks like Curt Schilling has reached a 1 year deal with the Red Sox for a total of $13 million dollars with $8 of that being guaranteed, and the rest incentive based. If this is true then the Sox pitching staff, aside from an additional bullpen arm or two, is all set, which is beyond an exciting proposition.
I find it only fitting that Schilling should hopefully retire as a Red Sox, and I hope this story ends up holding true, more to come in the morning.

I was so happy to hear this. I really want him to be retired as a Red Sox. He's ment a ton to the Red Sox organization.
Now, all we have to do is sign Iron Mike Lowell to 4 year deal and I think we'll be set.

You can see my post above, but I don't know how wise the 4 year deal would be...

i wish someone would give me a $2 million incentive to hit the gym and get in shape. at this point, i'm convinced that's the only thing that's going to get my ass off the couch!

If anyone gave me a $2 million incentive to do pretty much anything I'd be all over it....still, I don't think Schilling will ever live this one down. I can't wait to hear what Millar will have to say, I remember during spring training he said something along the lines of, "What happened to Schilling, he eat Pedroia?"
hah ha.
