Much like Kreese in the Karate Kid, I want no mercy tonight. (SawxBlog Illustration)
Kreese: What do we study here?
Boston Red Sox: THE WAY OF THE BAT SIR.
Kreese: And what is that way?
Boston Red Sox: STRIKE FIRST. STRIKE HARD. NO MERCY SIR.
Kreese: I can't hear you.
Boston Red Sox: STRIKE FIRST. STRIKE HARD. NO MERCY SIR.
- I want to taste champagne tonight.
- I want to go Red Auerbach style and light up a victory cigar.
- I want to see Josh Beckett doing an irish jig with Papelbon.
- I want to see Jon Lester get the best present he ever could have after beating cancer.
- I want the Red Sox to win for my Mom, I know she's watching.
- I want to see David Ortiz wearing swim goggles in the eight inning.
- I want to see the Red Sox be the new Dynasty in baseball.
- I want to see Iron Mike Lowell go deep.
- I want to see the bullpen transform into the Blue Man Group.
- I want to shave off my playoff beard.
- I want to walk outside of my apartment and hearing nothing but honking horns and screaming fans.
- I want to see fireworks in the sky.
- I want to high five a complete stranger tonight.
- I want Johnny Paps to catch V-Tek on the mound.
- I want to see the Boston Red Sox win their 7th World Series, and their second in four years.
- I want to go to a parade this week.
- I want to be the last one standing.
- I want to show no mercy.
- I want to sweep the leg and the Rockies.
- I want the Red Sox to be the 2007 World Series Champions.

Amen brother. I want every Yankees bandwagoner to shut the hell up too.

I honestly don't care too much about the Yankees right now. I do like the fact that we're on the verge of winning the World Series and they're in quite a bit of disarray, but like I said, this is about the Red Sox right now.
Only a little over 4 hours left...

I congratulate the Boston Red Sox on their successful acquisition of the 2007 World Series.
In related business news, the Dow was up 134 points on Friday, with tech stocks on the rise. Shares in Reebok, Nike, Rawlings, Wilson, Mizuno, and the Coca-Cola Company are expected to fall this week after the most boring postseason ever.

Actually, seriously. Congrats. That's some team. They'll be good for awhile. Don't let anybody guilt you.

Dig the pic and feel your pain, but why is "Johnny" misspelled? Did I miss something?

Just realized this is from 2 years ago. My bad. My colleague brought it to my attention. Thought it was recent. Johnny is still misspelled.
