I'm always afraid Papi's one hard forearm away from sending Pedroia to the DL. (SawxBlog Illustration)
I just got back from the game at Fenway and even as I type this I still have a slight buzz from that oh so expensive $7.00 Fenway beer and via talking to my Dad in the cab on the way home and watching SportsCenter as I update this site I've come to the realization that not only did the Red Sox win, but the MFY lost to the D-Rays, hells yeah!!! And yes that was quite the run-on sentence. The AL East is ours now, first time since 1995, we're now playing for the best record in baseball, high time in Boston indeed. More to come tomorrow after a nice nights rest. Lets Go Sox!!!

Ummm....
Last I checked, we still need 3 wins to lock up the division.
Don't jinx us dude!

Yeah, I don't want to seem like I want to wallow in misery, but we haven't locked it up yet. Still, the Sox looked better tonight than they have in a while. Great game, and I was truly psyched to see the DRays tough out the Yankees.
BTW, what's up with the sibling rivalry between the Lugos? Was Julio pissed because he thought his brother coulda done better? He gave him a hell of a stare as he headed to first, but then was messing with him on the bag. It was pretty cool to see.

I don't think I'm nessessarily counting my chickens beforethey hatch, but we are up by 3 games with 5 to play...that's all I'm saying.
I honestly wasn't even aware that was his brother pitching to him until I got home and was watching Baseball Tonight, pretty freaking awesome and hilarious though. I think he was just busting balls on his walk to first though.
I guess the last time two brothers faced off against each other was in 1979 when George Brett faced his brother (who I believe was with the Sox).
Good Stuff though.
