Im going to the game today with a BROOM for the SWEEP. Read it and weep. Its only 6 games BUT IT FEELS LIKE 1. Come on out and play red sox fans. Lets see what you have to say. It looks like a repeat of last year.
Manny's quitting...
and whats next Papelbons arm will be like a rubberband.

History will repeat itself,
Got to Love It!!!

Look for Jaba Chamberlain THROWIN HEAT and the NaStY SlIdEr in the 9th, strikin out the side :)

I'll buy you guys some beers at the FeNz.

Now this is the type of Yankee fan I absolutely love. Overly cocky, and only loud when things are going their way. I bet you used to actually believe in the "Curse of the Bambino" and were all about 1918.

My post wasn't the most positive, but listen here chief, you've only won two game in a row, so relax. If we win this afternoon you gain a whole game in the loss column and will still be 7 GAMES BACK with limited games to be played.

I'm glad it feels like only 1 game back to you, because the reality is that you're not. You better hope the Yanks win today, or you're going to be feeling pretty bad about all the ground you've "made up" (remember, it'll only be 1 figgen game).

Sean a.k.a Shizz

If the Yankees sweep today, then I'll be concerned not because of the lead being down to 5, but mostly for momentum heading into September.

There is just something *missing* from this Sox team. But they are so good though, so talented, so nasty in the videogame.

But they have problems coming back in the clutch and stepping on someone's throat late in games on the road. It's a distrubing trend, even though they have the best pitching staff in MLB and a solid manager in Francona. My confidence to go deep in the postseason is at about 75%....not enough.

On a side note, if JD Drew looks at one more strike 3, I'm going to start liking Jack Daniels too much again.

Derek Hixon

Yeah my buddy Josh wants Sox fans to be overly encouraging to Drew to give him confidence. I guess he did this for Bellhorn and it worked in '04. I'm getting tired of Drew too though...

And 75% seems about right, and no, not high enough.

Scott

Cocky I am not, Im just calling like I see it.
We SWEPT you today, it was a GREAT game.
Boston choked, We will continue to take it one game at a time. We are not stopping at the wildcard. When I said it was 5 games but it feels like 1 game, I wasn't talking about how I feel, I was talking about how you must feel. Are you in denial!!!! This is Deja Vu all over again :) Manny's out of commission, he played injured too long, he's an idiot, Pabelbon had a great series against the Yankees :) He didnt even pitch. Crisp, Lugo Drew and Hinske looked HORRIBLE. Ortiz is playing hurt, so who is going to carry the Red Sux Youkie and Lowell. Get honest, I am not being cocky. We faced your 3 top pitchers and we swept the series (Dont try calling Wakefield your #1) September is a GREAT month for baseball in the Bronx. This Blog is great, Im glad that you started to see the light and shared about it after the 2nd games results, because it didnt sound like you were telling yourself the truth about the First Game of the series. I saw the Bob Watson post, but what about the Game 3 shutout?
I will be at Sunday nights game at Fenway park, hopefully DOUBLEFISTED with a Haffenreffer in one hand and my broom on the other.

Derek Hixon

Five Things:

1. You sound like a jackass.
2. You should go to Yankee sites or yanks/sawx message boards if this is what you're looking for. I guarantee you googled this site looking to talk sh!t. Talk about the Watson post all you want, then look a few posts below that about my mother. You don't read this blog, so don't pretend like you do. You're just a jackass looking to pick a fight online. You're pathetic. I could in reality give a f&ck about a pennant with what'd going on in my life.
3. You use a fake e-mail address when commenting which is beyond pussy.
4. You lost your right to talk about choking in 2004 after the BIGGEST choke job in sports history.
5. Don't come back here, and I hope to God I don't see you Sunday.

2004 World Series: Game One

  • Mounted Police
My brother Chris flew into Boston from Chicago to help me root on and pull for the Sox in the Series. We went right from Logan Airport to the Park and ended up watching the game across the street from Fenway at Bills Bar on Landsdown Street. We looked into scalping tickets but standing room only were going for $1,200 and up!This was a great and memorable day to be able to be with my brother in Boston to see the Red Sox in the World Series. This is a snap shot of two weeks of my life that provided a lot of sorrow, joy, sleep deprivation, and hangovers. Two of the best weeks of my life...
