Red Sox Nation heard the best news it'll hear in all of the off-season, and it involves no trades or free agent signings. Jon Lester, the talented LHP for Boston, is cancer-free. This is great news for Jon and his family, and the most important news here is that he's healthy. I hope he can pitch for us again, but right now I'm most happy that a young guy's healthy, and can continue to live out his dream.

would jon consider a visit to a sick friend? friend has metastatic melanoma he insists will not get the better of him. he watched the sox from a hospital bed.friend was a world champion throttle man in the mid 1990's in formula 1 race boats.we are hoping he will be a survivor too!

I would e-mail the Red Sox drectly and ask, I don't think I'd have the ability to get in touch with him.
I will say a prayer for your friend though, and please send him my best wishes and thoughts.
