I woke up early yesterday morning with a feeling that I needed to go to the game because something big was going to happen. Who knows, an Arroyo No-Hitter (he flirted with one rather heavily earlier this year), E.R. hitting for the cycle, Bellhorn not striking out, the possibilities were endless. Much to my chagrin the big thing was represented by the number eight, as the Sox got tossed around Fenway in an 8-1 loss.
Maybe the Sox bats were tired from the weekend, but damn, we made Lopez look like Sandy Kofax on the hill. W.W.J.D.D. recognized his dominance over the Sox as of late saying, "He's just a pain in our neck. We just can't figure him out, even though I got a couple of hits, he was throwing changeups whenever he wanted to. The guy's just been a good pitcher against us, and he's been a pretty good pitcher around the league." It's OK though, winning two out of three is what I asked and they can still accomplish this. I'm a little> nervous about Bronson who hasn't been quite the same since he served his 6 game suspension, but only a little.
Wade Miller takes the hill tonight and I'm sure we'll see the Sox come back to life tonight. When a team jumps all over you so early it's very hard to come back and guys approach the plate with a different mindset.
Oh, I got seperated from my friend (Sorry Rog) and snuck down to three rows behind the O's dugout and was shocked at how tiny Brian Roberts is in person. Dude is short and doesn't look really built at all. I tipped my hat to him and said "Good game" and he said "Thanks".
I now think I would have a chance in a fight with him...how this is relevant is beyond me...
